The Kiwi Winter Trousers for Women, from Craghoppers, are great value for money and very comfortable and practical to wear.
They have a DWR coating which means you can wear them in snow and on a wet day they shrug off all but the most persistent rain.
The trousers are lined with a fleece material which acts like a base layer but is non restrictive.
I have had them on test for the last few weeks and have been very impressed with their durability. They are smart to look at, are comfortable to wear in a hut, warm enough to wear out on the slopes, or in the hills, without a base layer and keep you nice and warm and dry in all but the foulest downpour.
Even then, they dry quickly, which makes them very versatile.
They are an ideal all round winter trouser.
At the front there are two pockets each side. Two of which are zipped and ideal for carrying a camera, keys or iPod safe and sound. At the back are two more deep zipped pockets.
The trousers fasten with a button and have a zipped fly, so are practical if you use a Shewee for rest stops.
There is a webbing belt with a plastic click lock buckle fastener which works well.
I was so impressed with the sample pair that Craghoppers sent for test, that I went out and bought a pair as well.
So at £45 we think they represent excellent value for money. Also available for men.
